About the Artist
Tony Nguyen is just a normal guy trying to have fun with art. He stated that he doesn’t want to take the art too serious but wants to create things differently from things that have already been created. The type of art he creates is jewelry art with metal. His inspiration comes from most of his childhood from video games, cartoons and his interest of wearing big rings.
The main piece of his collection was the mailbox. His inspiration for the mailbox came from on his trip from London. When he was walking down the street, he saw a British mailbox and he liked the design of the box so he wanted to create his own. He also chose the mailbox because he thinks its a very interactive piece of art.
His artwork is just his own touch of creations that have already been made. I believe that he wants to bring stuff out of video games and cartoons and create them in real life.
Synthesis / My Experience
I really liked his work. It was great seeing the creativity Tony had and his skill on making a mailbox and bending metal into rings. He’s a very good artist and I would recommend people to see his work.
